Annie Meadows - News
Annie toured much in 2011 and then ended the year with a very successful Christmas Concert at the Loews Lake Las Vegas on Saturday, December 10th!! It was the largest attendance for her annual Christmas Concert yet, with nearly 1300 people coming out for this elegant evening. It was year #8 for the concert and she and assistances are already planning Christmas Concert #9. This was the first year this Christmas concert went to new heights, with Actors, Dancers, Live Musicians, and more!! It was a major production which surprised many! Annie's 2011 year was a blessing in many ways, as she was able to touch many hearts for Christ around the world. The highlight for her touring was her Europe tour in September to England/Scotland, which ended with a brief 3 day visit to the Lake District in Northern England, for rest and book writing. Annie was accompanied on this trip to the Lake District by her ever-faithful 'booking agent' and friend, Scottish born Irene MacBain.
Annie and Irene were guest at Buckle Yeat Cottage, which is directly next door to the former residence of famed children's book author, Beatrix Potter. (Annie's hero) Annie wrote the 4th in her own-penned childrens series of book, "The Lonely Little Rabbit - A Christmas Story". Annie's childrens series of books teach life lessons to children AND adults who care to add some wimsy to their lives. Annie says, "It's never too late to have a happy childhood!"
Annie made personal history in 2011 by reading in public for the first time, "The Lonely Little Rabbit - A Christmas Story", on a 'fairy-tell' stage just outside the ballroom on the afternoon before her Lake Las Vegas Christmas Concert. 200 were in attendance, and Annie also gave out several gifts after the reading.
Annie endured an extremely difficult event on August 17th, 2011, when she had to hold the face of her beloved long time companion four-legged little boy cat, SOCKS, while he was released to Heaven. Annie is still in grief and says she will never forget her "best friend" of nearly 19 years!!! "Mom will see you again one day Son."
To those who have supported Exodus/Faithrunner Ministries, Annie extends a heart-felt thanks. It is a group effort both financially and prayerfully.
